PLATÅ” is our proposal for the new World Heritage Center next to Urnes Stave Church. We are proud to have been awarded an honorable mention amongs 124 proposals.
The building appears as an extension of the landscape. From the fjord you can read two lines in the landscape, as a warm building that welcomes visitors. The horizontal building has a direct relation to the landscape and the Church. The building is located as a clear horizontal line that connects the entrance area with Urnes Garden.
